Paradise Found
This Piece is part of Ting Yuen's Artist Diary Series.
I painted this painting after I found Wells. Paradise Found is about searching. I have always been a nomad and have been looking for a place that I can call home. A place where I can put my roots down and grow. I once thought it's alright not to have a home, but without a home, you have no roots, no focus and you can't grow. The tree on this painting represents the growth that can happen when one has roots. The leaves turn into butterflies to symbolize change and the beauty of change. The quilt of leaves I painted was my meditation ground, a time consuming task, but it gave me the time to think and when the painting was completed, I moved to Wells, my new found home. I am now experiencing the joy and benefits of having roots, to me it is paradise found!
