Tame the Giant

This painting is about finding balance. Last year, as I was rushing around in my own madness, focusing on tasks and trying to tackle more than I bargained for, I lost my footing on the steps of my gallery and fell down the stairs resulting in an injury to my ankle. By the time I reached the bottom of the stairs, I had an “ AHA” moment, I immediately realized the position that I had put myself into, my urge to succeed was so great that I had abandoned taking time off and taking care of my health. At that moment, I made myself a promise that I would always find time for myself, my loved ones and find balance in my life. I believe we have to unleash the giant within us but we also have to remember to keep it tame and all will be well.
